Joe Mama's Car Show Kicked Off Tonight

The 4th Annual Joe Mama's Car Show kicked off tonight in Jerome. The two day event started off with over fifty cars participating in a cruise. The cruise which starts at the Con Paulos Chevrolet ends at the North/South Park in Downtown Jerome, the site of all of the Joe Mama's Car Show Events.

Following the cruise, a rib eating contest took place right in the center of Main Street in Downtown Jerome. Eight teams participated and were judged by Sheriff McFall, City Administrator Mike Williams, Dave Richey with the Jerome Building Department and Director of the Jerome Chamber of Commerce Brandon Redmond. Each team had to eat four pounds of ribs, three buns and drink all of the rib sauce to win the contest.

The Joe Mamas Car Show will continue on Saturday. The actual Car Show will begin at 9:00 AM at the North/South Park in Jerome and continue through much of the day.
