Wendell, Idaho: Rosa Fuentes-Guevara, a fifty four year old woman from Wendell, was killed in a car crash in Gooding County early Sunday Morning.
Idaho State Police say the crash happened at the intersection of 1800 East and 3400 South early Sunday Morning. The crash occurred around 2:15 AM.
Rosa Fuentes-Guevara was killed after the Chevy Silverado she was traveling in was struck by a semi that ran a stop sign. The Idaho State Police reported that the semi was being driven by Christopher T. Weaver, a forty three year old man from Twin Falls.
Two other people in the Silverado, David H. Fuentes, twenty one, of Wendell and Jose D. Hernandez, eighteen from Wendell were transported by ambulance to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding.
The driver of the Semi, Christopher T. Weaver, was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Media Center in Boise.
Fuentes-Guevara was transported by air ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, where she died of her injuries.
According to the Idaho State Police, it appears no seat belts were worn at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
